Picture this: (Not exactly the typical start to an about me page, but bear with me here) You're in your house sitting on your way-to-soft-to-be-real couch with a classic book in your hands. It's raining outside. Not a total thunderstorm that freaks people out nor the slight drizzle which makes everyone impatient. The loud thundering rain that makes you feel safe and warm. You have a blanket across your legs with your equally fluffy dog draped across it. With the warm tea an arm’s length away and the roaring fire in front of you and you are the perfect temperature. You are content and you can’t control the quiet smile making an appearance on your face.
What you just pictured is me at my happiest. Not even a high energy outing with my friends could rival it. I am young, (probably younger than you think) but hear me out. I believe that age doesn't limit your ability to put yourself out there and bless others as a result. Every person has something to offer no matter how young they may seem. Remember, Timothy 4:12 says, “Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” and I intend to do just that. Despite the fact I'm definitely not perfect, (I am human) I have something to offer so put away your pride, humble yourself for a sec, and maybe read a post. Who knows? You may find something that could really stick out to you.
Ok, I've basically said nothing about myself so far and this is the about me page sooo… let's get to it! First quick note about me: I type like I talk so mentally prepare yourself for that. I think it makes it fun, but it's ok if you don’t agree. Please don’t make that the reason you stop reading though. Thank yooooooooou. (Example right there)
I happen to be a reader, writer, dancer, Revolutionary War enthusiast (strangely enough), and lover of all things bright and happy. My life has been pretty straight forward. I grew up in a Christian home, but never really saw Jesus as a real person until a few years ago. Since then, I got baptized, started a Bible study group, and truly began my adventure with Christ. I am a aspiring journalist so if you stopped by my house on a weekend, you might see me reading the weekly Wall Street Journal which I stole from my dad, or maybe even discussing the next newspaper club meeting which we had earlier that week at school.
Don’t be blinded by my hot pink shoes because like I said before, although I may be young, I have a lot to say.
